The Association for Preservation Technology – Central Plains held their 2019 Symposium at the Nebraska State Capitol last week to share lessons and strategies from this involved preservation project. Alvine Engineering’s Steve Alvine and Paul Bauman presented in collaboration with BVH Architecture on the challenges and triumphs of upgrading MEP and fire protection systems over 50 years old, while preserving the historical architecture and character of the building, such as this vintage lighting.
