PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Lincoln, Nebraska-based Union Bank & Trust was looking to expand its profile in the booming Omaha area with a 5-story corporate office building located on the corner of 144th and West Dodge Road. Within Union Bank & Trust’s new, modern space, the bank occupies the lobby and other space on the first and fifth floors. The first floor of the office building also contains retail banking, a café, storage, mechanical space, and a community room with other associated spaces. The second, third, and fourth floors contain shared space work areas, offices, and conference rooms.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
- The HVAC system consists of self-contained air handling units on each floor and a roof-mounted cooling tower. Outdoor air is introduced through an energy recovery unit located in the penthouse. Exhaust air is utilized to preheat and precool outdoor air.
- Parallel fan-powered terminal units with electric reheat are utilized at perimeter spaces, and variable air volume terminal units with electric reheat are utilized at interior spaces for zone temperature control.
- The lighting is a networked system and was designed to provide appropriate illumination levels within each space. General lighting for the offices, meeting rooms, conference rooms, corridors, and general-purpose occupancies consists of recessed and suspended LED luminaries.
- The team designed horizontal cabling through raised-access flooring from telecommunications rooms to work area outlets, such as network (voice and data) wall outlets, wireless access points (WAPs), and IP-based video surveillance cameras.
- Designed audiovisual rough-ins and pathways for conference, meeting, and community rooms, collaboration spaces, training rooms, boardrooms, huddle rooms, executive offices, and the café.
- The design team provided electronic security rough-ins for lower-level areas, including bank vault alarm systems and waiting room/office video surveillance.
