PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Located at the University’s Research Park in Oklahoma City, the University of Oklahoma’s Gene Rainbolt Graduate School of Business offers students a modern learning environment. The space, previously a floor slated for laboratory research, was wholly re-imagined into a collaborative and multi-functional educational area. The Gene Rainbolt Graduate School of Business welcomes students and guests with a multi-media wall boasting a stock ticker and multiple screens. Strategically placed study lounges, private rooms, and learning classrooms encourage collaboration among students and faculty and build a strong sense of community. In addition, large conference rooms, lecture halls, faculty offices, and a café are housed on this floor.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Alvine Engineering designed modifications to the air distribution ductwork to accommodate the traditional lecture hall layout rather than the former layout designed for air movement required in laboratory research.
  • The design team coordinated modifications to the existing air distribution system with the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center to ensure facility maintenance standards were maintained.
  • Designed lighting and control systems comprising zoned, dimmable lighting within offices and classrooms.
  • Alvine Engineering designed power equipment connections for full-height partition systems, furniture, partitions, and lecture hall tables, as well as integrated power and data connections.
